Compensation:$16.50 - $18.50 hourly
Responsibilities: Triage patients and record consistent and accurate documentation of patient’s medical historyCapturing all visits into the EHR system based on physician examinationAdministering medications to patients in the clinic and providing patient educationWill be required to get detailed health information from patients and document health historiesVarious diagnostic tests (Fundus photos, OCT, Visual Fields), and may also include some advanced diagnostic testingAssist with maintaining an efficient clinic experienceAssisting physicians with ophthalmic proceduresMaintaining medical/surgical suppliesUtilize EHR with all HIPAA standardsPrepare examination room and patient's medical recordUnderstanding of basic healthcare terminologyDriving a company provided vehicle which may hold employees and office equipmentManaging incoming phone calls and documenting communications within patient platforms such as NexTech, Pressia On-Call, or other relevant sources Qualifications: Reliability is a top priorityBeing in-person and punctualAbility to master ophthalmology and retina terminology with a basic understanding of healthcare terminologyMust be able to multi-taskPossess high energy, and have a positive professional attitudeStrong communication skills with a team player approachCritical time management skillsDemonstrated ability to interact with healthcare professionals, patients, and insurance companies alike with poise and proper etiquetteAdhere to ongoing training and educationDemonstrate effectiveness by showing courtesy, diligence, integrity, and teamworkStrong interpersonal skills (effective listening, clear communication, effective customer problem resolution, warm demeanor)Willing to trainAbility to lift more than 30lbsAbility to converse with patients – speaking and hearingFrequent use of a computer terminal, keyboard, and mouseManual dexterity to operate ophthalmic equipmentMust be able to complete all Technician tasks and responsibilities About Company- Benefits: Paid Time Off + Holidays, Medical Insurance, Vision, Dental, 401(k), Life Insurance
